Aesdiopod Designs has transplanted operations to Cascadia, a marvelous and delightful place.
Now that things have settled down a bit, this zineBlog is launching a new blogging schedule. Every Other Friday. That way, progress on #Goals and projects can be tracked.
This week, in addition to busking it with Basphite, featured in the #Goals debut episode of Creativity in Cascadia, [above] this freelancer had lunch with the one and only badass Success Bully. That was a good Tuesday, busy in this fair and fragmented fantastic city.
The busking band that formed at the end of last year during the Seattle holiday season finally has a name– Basphite which has been playing Westlake and Cap Hill Stations all the year long.
— I’m the drummer, and Joel plays both siick melody and groovy bassline on his bariSax. We playing at the September Art Attack in Georgetown on September 9th. Try to make our set, it’s gonna be righteous.
How does Creativity work?
Creativity loves friends. My creativity is often heightened when I am with other creatives who I enjoy and vice-versa. And our talks and walks.
Creativity is simultaneously a relaxed & stimulated state, it’s energizing, it’s very in the moment. It gets stronger with practice & love. And it can either strike, often when out and about in Nature or just out or in or on the road, but it also can be summoned when desired for a work.
New Band: Pixie Dust playing the Street & Open Mic Circuit to Start
Creativity loves freshness & inspiration and meeting new people, spontaneous talks, design challenges. It likes the water, the shore, swimming, or out floating on the water.
My creativity likes it when I am up in trees looking out at the view, or upside down purposely like in a handstand– not from emotional overwhelm, although that can work. It likes heights, and new fresh concept & ideas, and beautiful works. Creativity needs expression, and it needs to grow.
Creativity also can be a double edged sword, and can turn on one and manifest in dark false imaginings, and I don’t have an answer about that, but just to be aware that there is a facet that can be destructive and awareness and solid belief in oneself is a counter that can be played & it might just be as simple as that awareness to stay on the good foot.
Creativity is good for the world, and everyone’s creativity is as unique as they are, and when it comes together it’s hell yeah!
Aesdiopod Designs is starting a new YouTube Channel about: This Freelance Creative’s journey to thrive in Cascadia, and about: A New Band “Pixie Dust” and their band adventure within a backdrop of Street Music, Activism/ Resistance and the Planet Health Movement.
Oh boyy, how exciting!
How much of your life do you want to share with virtually strangers “friends of friends”?
And another philosophical concept I will present here is “Retaliation”
That energy goes into the Universe. I mean, it can’t be that strong, but it’s just interesting…….
It’s been four hours since I posted this “poetry” a stretch I am sure into the network to relieve my soul…..
war or jealously (neither i want in me)
………………………………………………………………………………………………………maybe this is cheap but it brings laughter or release & sweet relief thru art my go to savior where I choose to direct this piss energy
Writing words, sharing them it’s dope. And noodling on the piano. Peace.
