I started working at the Seattle Farmers Market ftw! LOVE this job!
Today I am listening to Mort by: Terry Pratchett while I pack nearly everything to move to Columbia City this weekend. It’s awesome, the story. Recommendation from my bandmate– love it– so imaginative totally helps with this mundane task of putting everything I own in boxes.
Yesterday I took a ride on the sweetest cruiser, like riding on a cloud before Basphite went playing out at Pacific Place……
I am sooooo glad I found a job where I get to be OUTSIDE and contributing to the economy that sources local foods, that is a winning based economy and I am so grateful to be a part of it. Hype local food, and all hail peace in Korea. This is a good day. Basphite finished mixing our first EP and that will be up on Bandcamp asap! Woot baby woot.
Another radd Seattle happening coming up is Sunset Labs at Beacon Forest Food Farm, ya I’m moving to so near to there, totally looking forward to pitching in there and growing it up.
Basphite covers “Menace” by Seattle’s Actionesse on their latest album release comin out soon and available out of the case at Capitol Hill & Westlake Stations and Pacific Place as well at an upcoming gig at Poquitos Atrium for a select lucky few.

Fire at the Station
Just in time for Christmas!!!!
Basphite plays out all around Seattle metro and specifically Tuesday at rush hour at Capitol Hill Station.
Playlist is eclectic funk, some klezmer influence and shakes bootie.
If you are in Seattle it’s likely you will catch this band. Pop up sets in Capitol Hill, Seattle Center, and Westlake to name a few and adding new spots all the time.
Come hang with us at Art Attack in Georgetown on the Second Saturday night in October!
The art show was dope. Abstract Expressionist creating live paintings amidst wildfires in our atmosphere.
It’s been a month full of creative expression. Lots of new work, and new people. And songs.
Pixie Dust played the open mic this week at Blue Moon hosted by the lovely and talented Nomi, it was a blast!
Another Pixie Dust sighting at the Sunday Ballard Farmers Market. Good scene, we played by the flower booth.
And Anna Thoreau has a fall art show coming up this Thursday with two other amazing local Seattle artists, Kayla Cabe and Eva Lu. “Burning Down the House” at the Box House is gonna be a groovy, Eva and Anna will be livepainting, and there will be live music, poetry & fiction readings and areal acrobatics. This Thursday in Pioneer Square, Seattle, across from Occidental Park.
Basphite has a page so like it, if you wana. Our playlist includes Upside Down, by Paloma Faith and Candiru by Basphite and Set Phasers by Actionesse– a prolific Seattle Brasspunk Band, where Joel also plays wind Canon.
Basphite is playing the Georgetown Art Walk.
