For now, enjoy a cute pic of one of my best buddies here in Seattle– fellow artist Kayla Cabe and I. We met at my 2nd art show in Seattle (where Kayla was a fellow artist showing her paintings as well) and have been having a blast since creating new art works together, and being part of the Drawnk art club and finding all sorts of art opportunities here in the city to go for an just hangin! Next adventure First Thursday Art Walk coming up in 2 days!
And here’s another bestie too: Blake Hamilton an awesome artist (who loves film & photography) and is amazing at it to boot! And also is huge in the zero-waste & cutting plastic use down to size movement as well as incredibly creative, inspiring & lovely!
Cascadea is brimming with art. Good frickin art, on all the walls. And rockin art community.
Every Wednesday night there is DRAWNK the drunk art club. This Wed, it was at Pioneer Square Saloon dope art spot.
These pics are from Georgetown Art Attack every 2nd Saturday in Georgetown- it is some healthy STIM-U-LATION! Tiny Manticore was there arting it up, makin merry an mingling. The Night ended at a dope party at Equinox Studios in Georgetown, Seattle. Spice the band played, as we grooved danced an chatted by the fire barrels.
And just as a shout out Beacon Forest Food Farm is a work of art. A bountiful garden taken care of by volunteers(: Love it!! There are work parties every month and everyone takes care of the garden and eats and people play instruments and there’s usually a yoga class. Lovely Seattle.
Today I am listening to Mort by: Terry Pratchett while I pack nearly everything to move to Columbia City this weekend. It’s awesome, the story. Recommendation from my bandmate– love it– so imaginative totally helps with this mundane task of putting everything I own in boxes.
Yesterday I took a ride on the sweetest cruiser, like riding on a cloud before Basphite went playing out at Pacific Place……
I am sooooo glad I found a job where I get to be OUTSIDE and contributing to the economy that sources local foods, that is a winning based economy and I am so grateful to be a part of it. Hype local food, and all hail peace in Korea. This is a good day. Basphite finished mixing our first EP and that will be up on Bandcamp asap! Woot baby woot.
Another radd Seattle happening coming up is Sunset Labs at Beacon Forest Food Farm, ya I’m moving to so near to there, totally looking forward to pitching in there and growing it up.
